Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms before you use the Jaap Counter app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.
01Agreeing to these terms
Jaap Counter (the “app”) is published by Vinviter - Video Invitation Maker , Wedding, Ecard Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and us covering your use of the app and everything inside it.
By downloading, installing, opening or continuing to use Jaap Counter, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please uninstall the app and stop using it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles and forms part of these terms.
02Who can use the app
You may use Jaap Counter if you are 13 years or older. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the app only with the knowledge and agreement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
The app is a general-audience devotional app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we ask that children under 13 do not use it.
03Your licence to use Jaap Counter
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use one copy of the app on devices you own or control, for your own devotional and personal use.
This licence does not transfer any ownership to you. You may not sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app, and you may not copy, modify, translate, decompile, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from it, except to the extent the law expressly allows you to.
04What the app does
Jaap Counter is a devotional companion. Depending on the version installed, it may include:
- Jaap counter and mala — count your jaap by tapping, with mala rounds, targets, streaks and statistics kept on your device.
- Voice Jaap — the app listens through the microphone and counts your spoken mantra automatically.
- Bhakti — aartis, chalisas, shlokas, stotras and other devotional texts, with translations where available.
- Stories — devotional and puranic stories to read.
- Reels — short devotional images and videos you can view and share.
- Meditation and audio — chants and audio tracks that keep playing in the background with notification and lock-screen controls.
- Daily reminder — an optional notification to nudge you towards your daily jaap.
We may add, change or remove any feature at any time. Features that need the internet will not work, or will work only partly, when your device is offline.
05Permissions the app asks for
You are in control of every permission and can refuse or withdraw any of them in your device settings. Refusing a permission only switches off the feature that needs it; the rest of the app keeps working.

06Advertisements
Jaap Counter is free to download and free to use. Advertising is what pays for the app’s development, its content and its servers, so the app shows ads and you agree to their presence as a condition of using it.
6.1 Where ads appear
Ads may be shown in several forms: banners along the edge of a screen, full-screen ads between activities, ads placed within a list or feed, short video ads, ads on opening the app, and optional rewarded ads that unlock something in return for watching.
We try to place ads at natural breaks — between screens, after a session, or around content — rather than in the middle of a jaap. Even so, the exact placement, frequency and format of ads can change at any time without notice.
6.2 Who serves the ads
Ads are delivered by third-party advertising networks and their partners, which may include Google AdMob and other ad providers we work with from time to time. We do not choose which individual ad you see. Ads are selected automatically by those networks.
Those networks operate under their own terms and privacy policies. For Google, see the “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” page.
6.3 Data used for advertising
To show and measure ads, our advertising partners may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and operating system details, and how you interact with an ad. This information is handled by those partners under their own policies. Our Privacy Policy describes this in more detail.
6.4 Your choices about ads
- Where the law requires it — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the app shows a consent form before personalised ads are used. You may change or withdraw that consent later from the app’s settings, where this option is offered.
- You can turn off ad personalisation for every app on your phone in Settings → Google → Ads, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID there.
- Turning off personalisation does not remove ads. You will still see the same number of ads; they will simply be less relevant to you.
There is currently no paid, ad-free version of Jaap Counter. If we introduce one in future, it will be offered inside the app and these terms will be updated first.
6.5 We are not responsible for advertisers
An ad shown inside Jaap Counter is not a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee by us. We do not check, control or vouch for the products, services, offers, websites or claims of any advertiser.
Any dealing you have with an advertiser — including a purchase, a sign-up, a download or a payment — is strictly between you and that advertiser. We are not a party to it and are not liable for any loss, damage, fraud or dispute that comes out of it. Please use your own judgement before you tap, install or pay for anything an ad shows you.
6.6 Ads that are not suitable
We apply the content filters our ad networks make available so that ads shown in a devotional app stay appropriate. Because ads are chosen automatically and change constantly, we cannot promise that every ad will be to your taste or in keeping with your beliefs.
If you see an ad you consider offensive, misleading or unsuitable, please email us at jackybharwad007@gmail.com with a screenshot and the time you saw it. We will report it to the ad network. Reporting it to us is the correct route — we can act on it, and it helps us more than a low rating.
6.7 Rewarded ads
Where the app offers a reward for watching an ad, the reward is granted only after the ad network confirms that the ad was watched fully. Rewards have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash and may expire or be withdrawn. If an ad fails to load, is interrupted, or your connection drops, the reward may not be granted and we are not obliged to compensate you.
6.8 Do not interfere with ads
You agree that you will not:
- block, hide, strip out or modify ads in the app, or use any modified version of the app that does so;
- click ads repeatedly, use bots, emulators, scripts or automated tools, or encourage others to click ads, in order to generate revenue or exhaust an advertiser’s budget;
- generate artificial impressions or otherwise commit ad fraud, which may cause our advertising accounts to be suspended.
Such activity is a serious breach of these terms. We may block your access to the app and we may report the activity to our ad partners.
6.9 Ads outside our control
Ad networks may occasionally fail, serve blank space, or serve an ad more slowly than expected, which can make a screen appear to load late. This is a normal part of ad-supported apps and is not a defect in the app.
07Devotional content and accuracy
The aartis, chalisas, shlokas, stories, translations, meanings, timings and audio in the app are provided for devotional and informational purposes. We compile them with care and respect from traditional sources, but different traditions, regions and families follow different versions, and errors in transcription or translation are possible.
The app is not a substitute for guidance from a guru, priest, elder or scholar. Nothing in the app — including meditation, breathing or chanting content — is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice. If you have a health condition, please consult a qualified professional before following any practice.
If you spot a mistake in any text or translation, please write to us so we can correct it.
08Your mantras, recordings and counts
Mantras you add, audio you record for a custom mantra, your jaap counts, targets, streaks and settings are stored on your device. They belong to you. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes them permanently, and we cannot restore them.
Voice Jaap uses your device’s speech recognition service to match what you say against the mantra you have selected. That service is part of your Android device and is provided by its own supplier, under that supplier’s terms and privacy policy — some devices process speech on the device itself, others send audio to the supplier’s servers for recognition.
If you send us content — for example a mantra correction, feedback or a screenshot — you allow us to use it to run and improve the app, without owing you any payment.
09Sharing reels and images
You may share reels and images from the app through WhatsApp, other apps or social platforms for personal, non-commercial devotional use, keeping any name or mark that appears on them intact.
You may not sell shared content, use it in advertising, remove our branding from it, or re-upload it as your own original work. When you share, you must also follow the rules of the platform you share it on.
10Acceptable use
While using Jaap Counter, you agree not to:
- use the app for anything unlawful, or in a way that hurts, harasses or misleads other people;
- use the app to insult, mock or attack any religion, community, deity, caste or belief;
- attempt to access our servers, APIs or content in an unauthorised way, or scrape, bulk-download or republish the app’s content;
- interfere with the app’s working, security or measurement, including its ads and analytics;
- distribute a modified, cracked or repackaged copy of the app.
11Ownership of the app
The app itself — its name, logo, design, artwork, animations, code, compilations of text, recordings and audio — is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other laws. Traditional scriptures and mantras are in the public domain, but our particular arrangement, translation, presentation and recordings of them are not.
Nothing in these terms gives you any right in our trade marks or branding.
12Third-party services
Jaap Counter relies on services provided by other companies, and your use of the app also involves their terms:
- Google Play — distributes and updates the app.
- Google AdMob and other ad networks — deliver and measure advertisements.
- Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics — tell us, in aggregate, which features are used and why the app crashed, so we can fix it.
- Your device’s speech recognition service — powers Voice Jaap.
- Content delivery and media servers — supply reels, stories and streamed audio.
We are not responsible for those services, for links leading outside the app, or for the content of any external site you reach from the app.
13Availability and updates
We work to keep the app running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of faults. Maintenance, network problems, device limitations, operating-system changes or problems at a third-party service can all stop it working for a while.
We may release updates, and some updates may be necessary for the app to keep working. We may also change, suspend or discontinue the app, any feature, or any content at any time.
14No warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
In particular, we do not warrant that jaap counts — including counts produced by Voice Jaap — will be complete or accurate. Voice recognition depends on your voice, your speed, background noise, your device’s microphone and its recognition service, and it can miscount. Please treat the count as an aid to your practice, not as an authoritative record.
15Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of data, loss of jaap history, loss of profit or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the app.
We are also not liable for anything done by an advertiser, an ad network or any other third-party service, or for content you reach by tapping an ad or a link.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount you have paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free app, is nil.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss, liability or expense arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the app, or your infringement of anyone else’s rights.
17Ending your use of the app
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your access — with or without notice — if you breach these terms, if you interfere with ads, or if we are required to do so by law or by a platform we depend on.
The clauses on ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law survive the end of this agreement.
18Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app grows — for example when we add a feature, change how ads work, or when the law changes. The revised terms take effect from the date shown at the top of this page, and continuing to use the app after that date means you accept them.
We recommend that you check this page from time to time. It is always reachable from Settings → Terms of Use inside the app.
19Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or from your use of the app, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
