This Privacy Policy explains how Garud Puran (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), published by Vinviter - Video Invitation Maker , Wedding, Ecard , collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App on Android devices. By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1.Who We Are

Garud Puran is a religious and educational reference application offering Garuda Purana–related stories (katha), shlokas, reels, spiritual journey content, Q&A guidance, panchang information, meditation tools, and a jaap (chant) counter.

2.Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create a traditional account (no email/password sign-up in the App). We may still process limited technical and usage data to operate the App.

2.1 Device and App Identifiers

A unique device identifier generated on your device and stored securely (using Android secure storage, such as the Android Keystore / encrypted preferences) so we can recognise the same installation over time.
A server-assigned user ID linked to that device for App features such as favourites and reel engagement.
App version and language preference.

2.2 Optional Profile Fields

Our servers may store optional fields such as email, profile name, or profile image URL if provided by our backend. The App does not currently offer a user-facing profile editor. These fields are typically empty unless populated by our systems.

2.3 Push Notification Data

If you allow notifications, we collect and process push notification tokens and related delivery information through OneSignal (which uses Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android) so we can send reminders and App-related messages. We may also store your notification preferences (for example, reminder time and sound).

2.4 Usage and Content Engagement Data

Favourites for popular stories.
Reel likes, shares, and watch history / watch progress.
Search queries you enter in the App (sent to our servers to return results).

2.5 Information Stored Only on Your Device

Reading progress / “continue reading” state.
Appearance preferences (for example, dark mode) and selected panchang city.
Cached images, audio, and video for offline or smoother playback.
Custom mantra audio you create or import for the Jaap feature (kept locally on your device).

2.6 Permissions You May Grant

Microphone — to record custom mantras and support spoken jaap counting.
Speech recognition — to detect chanting. Where supported, recognition is configured to prefer on-device processing.
Music / media & audio files — if you choose a chant from your device’s music or media library.
Files / document picker — if you import audio for a custom mantra.
Notifications — for daily reminders and push messages (Android 13 and above require notification permission).

We do not request access to your precise GPS location, contacts, camera, or the Android Advertising ID (GAID) for tracking. Panchang city selection uses predefined locations, not live GPS tracking.

3.How We Use Information

To provide, maintain, and improve App features and content delivery.
To sync limited engagement data (such as favourites and reel interactions) with our servers.
To send push and local reminders you enable.
To remember language and other preferences.
To diagnose technical issues and keep the App secure and reliable.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising networks in the current version of the App, and we do not use the Android Advertising ID (GAID) for cross-app tracking or interest-based advertising.

4.Third-Party Services

We use trusted service providers that process data only as needed to run the App:

OneSignal — push notification delivery and related device/subscription identifiers. On Android, push messages are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging. OneSignal processes data according to its own privacy policy.
Our hosting / API / content delivery providers (including services operated under the vinvite.in domain and content CDNs used to deliver media such as stories, shlokas, journey content, reels, and meditation audio).
Google — Android system frameworks and Google Play services for notifications, speech, media, and App distribution through the Google Play Store.
Lottie — animation rendering library (does not provide advertising or analytics services to us).

These providers may process technical data (such as IP address or device tokens) as part of normal internet and push delivery. We do not integrate third-party ads or in-app purchase billing in the current version.

5.Data Sharing

We share information only:

With service providers who help us operate the App (as described above).
If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
To protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, the App, or others.
In connection with a business transfer (for example, merger or acquisition), if applicable, subject to this Policy’s protections.

When you use the system Share sheet (for example, to share an App link or reel media), the destination app you choose is governed by that app’s own privacy terms.

6.Data Retention

We retain server-associated data for as long as you use the App and as needed to provide related features. Local data remains on your device until you clear App data, delete cached files, or uninstall the App. You may request deletion of server-side data associated with your device/user ID by contacting us (see Section 10).

7.Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information we process, including secure transmission to our servers where applicable and storage of the device identifier using Android secure storage (such as the Android Keystore). No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.Children’s Privacy

The App has a general-audience content rating on Google Play and is suitable for a broad audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for the purpose of selling data, profiling for advertising, or targeted marketing. We do not use the App to serve third-party ads.

If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed from our servers, please contact us at jackybharwad007@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information where reasonably possible.

9.International Processing

Our servers and service providers may process data in India and/or other countries where those providers operate. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside your state or country of residence, subject to applicable law.

10.Your Choices and Rights

You can disable push notifications in your Android device Settings (Apps > Garud Puran > Notifications).
You can deny or revoke microphone, speech recognition, and media/audio permissions in Android Settings; related Jaap features may then be limited.
You can stop further local data collection by uninstalling the App.
You may email jackybharwad007@gmail.com to ask questions, request access, correction, or deletion of server-side data linked to your device/user ID, subject to applicable law and technical limitations.

11.Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. The latest version will be available at:

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
